Green Lantern is not only the story of an ordinary execution of a fighter pilot-the-mill who gets a magic ring from space. It is also the saga of an entire army of aliens, each with his / her own magic ring.
The movie we saw WonderCon in accordance with the fears of cheap, crappy CG work to rest. (Still Mostly. form.) But he made a second fundamental concern: this is the movie goes too far in the use of the sprawling Green Lantern movie myths that do not even know who Hal Jordan is? And is there just too many cartoons and alien creatures in cheese mainstream cinema to manage?

We force feed Cameron CG cheese and an entire ecosystem populated by creatures, and we did that. Even a week before the Avatar came out, I would not have been able to predict whether the color palette of burning eyes and build the world over-saturated would work for people. I could have thought that Avatar will be a big flop.
Star Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern happened around compared to the original Star Wars, but all the time I felt that there is a fairer comparison. Both films are of a type that goes into a strange world of alien life forms, and eventually join them. What Avatar done very well, however, is the establishment of Jake Sully and the human world before it pushes us to the jungle of Pandora. Hopefully, Green Lantern will do the same thing, but I must admit that marketing to start making me a little nervous. Then there is the fact that the film seems to have two very different villains - the terrifying threat of cosmic parallax and giant heads Hector Hammond. (With Sinestro apparently waiting in the wings.) In this film that introduced much of shading, it might be too much ground to cover.
The thing is, Green Lantern has a very simple concept: It's a guy with a ring like cosmic and flashlight that recharges it.
